Herein lies the reason for the order of the words in our Church's name: Methodist Church Crumpsall, and not 'Crumpsall Methodist Church' so as to ensure that 'Methodist Church' and not Crumpsall nor Cheetham Hill took precedence!

The following pictures (thanks to Sheila Handley) reveal the present day Methodist Church Crumpsall rising from the mud and rubble on the site of the demolished Crumpsall Park Methodist Church building during 1975, ready for opening in January 1976.
The opening of the new Church also heralded a new Scout Group. 209th Manchester (Crumpsall Park) and 2/119th Manchester (Cheetham Hill) amalgamated to form 434th Manchester Scout Group which still meets at MCC today.
